Number 8 in the Official Download Charts: A Massive Thank You

The official UK charts were released yesterday evening, and I am absolutely ecstatic to say that It’s Still M.E, the album I wrote and sung from my bed, debuted at number 8 in the download chart.

A top ten chart position represents a major achievement for any artist, but is a truly phenomenal accomplishment for someone bed bound and seriously ill. (If you are unfamiliar with my story, read more on my About page, or take a look at the many Media items on me.)

I want to say a massive, massive thank you to everyone who has supported my campaign this past week. My thanks particularly go out to the ME community, who have rallied behind the album so spectacularly on social media and helped raise its profile in the world beyond. I’ve been blown away by all your wonderful messages of support – each one has meant the world.

My album, It’s Still M.E, represents all of us who are suffering; all of us confined to our beds who have felt forgotten by the world. We’ve been silenced too long. This week we raised our voices and reached the top 10 of the official UK download chart.

This is not the end of my campaign by any means. Having been lifted up by the ME community, I want my album to now start reaching the world beyond. I want to achieve my dream of raising £100,000 to fund a dedicated post-mortem research centre for the severest cases of ME. I am more determined than ever.

For now though, I simply want to say thank you. Thank you to everyone for your unbelievable support, and for helping me reach the incredible position where I can say: I am now a top 10 artist.

To celebrate, I want to leave you with a list all that has happened this week. Together, we did something amazing!
